2010 Spring Conference and Workshop
We are pleased to announce details of the 2010 Annual Spring Conference on May 19-21. Based on attendee feedback from the last conference, the overwhelming consensus is to return to Pawleys Island. We have expanded this year’s agenda with additional educational and networking opportunities including: - One day hauling and collection workshop
- Additional reception Thursday night
- Lunch provided for golfers
- Expanded vendor show

The South Carolina Palmetto Chapter was recently recognized with two awards at the Solid Waste Association of North America national conference, WASTECON, in Long Beach, California. The SC SWANA chapter beat out 46 other chapter and took both membership award categories:
(1) Largest Increase in Membership (27 new members)
(2) Largest Percentage Increase in Membership (21% increase)
SC SWANA Chapter president Ed Marr was on hand in sunny southern California to accept the award. Ed thanked all of the SC SWANA members for their recruitment efforts.
